HP Deskjet 3633 Printer Troubleshooting

How can I avert paper jams on my printer?

  • Ensure that you never overfill the paper tray
  • Do not add paper, while the printer is online.
  • Pause until you get the ‘Out of Paper’ message before you add paper to the tray.
  • Eliminate the printed paper from the tray often.
  • Confirm that the paper loaded into the tray is laid correctly; and the edges of the paper are not crumpled or torn.
  • Do not cartel different types or sizes of paper, the entire load of paper on the tray should be of similar type.
  • The paper width guides should be spaced in such a way that they do not curve the paper amid them.
  • Any paper jammed in your 123.hp.com/dj3633 printer should be detached with your hand. Do not use any tool or device.

Why does my printer not print after linking to the network?

There are several options here,

1 . The printer may not be linked to the network. To resolve this,

  • Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the control panel of the printer to ratify if there are any linking issues shown at the top of the report.
  • If no issues are displayed on the Report, attempt accessing the Printer’s Homepage. To do this, locate the printer’s IP address from the report and index that into a web browser. If you can’t access the Homepage, attempt restarting the printer and your router and start again.

2 . Your computer may no longer be linked to the same network as your printer. To resolve this :

  • Access your web browser and enter the printer’s IP address in the address box of the browser, to browse the 123.hp.com/dj3633 printer’s home page. If you cannot access this page then your computer and printer are linked to the same network.

3 . Your firewall or antivirus may be blocking the printer.

  • Deactivate this by selecting ‘Always allow’ for HP products, in the pop-ups displayed by the firewall.
  • Your wireless router may not be functioning properly.
  • The IP address of your 123.hp.com/dj3633 printer may have been altered, in this case, the software has to be upgraded with the changed IP address.

For Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 7 :

  • Start –> Programs –> HP –> {printer 3633} –> Upgrade IP Address.

For Windows 8/8.1:

  • Download the printer software from the Start screen.
  • Choose ‘Utilities’ on the top of the Printer Software screen
  • Choose Upgrade IP address and index the new IP address.

Why does my scanned output have lines all over it ?

Some of the common reasons for these one-sided outputs are:

  • USB cable or power cord connection may be loose.
  • Fingerprints, smudges, or dust on the scanner glass
  • Dirt on the scanner lid or inside the 123.hp.com/dj3633 printer
  • Scratched scanner glass
  • Poor internal networks
  • Injured or faulty scanner bulb or parts

To evade these distorted outputs, always keep the printer, particularly the scanner components, clean. If the problem perseveres even after full cleaning, then reset the printer.
